Where's the Big Idea?–
Mastering the Art of Creative Thinking
by Grant Roberts
The most valuable employees In the workplace are those that can produce new ideas. Companies face new challenges and problems everyday that require new solutions. In dealing with process improvement or having the need to introduce a new product, most people are often unprepared to think creatively to solve these new problems.
You may have had experienced creative success in the past, but where did it come from? Sometimes we experience a burst of inspiration, but most of the time we may feel like we are up against a brick wallmaking no progress at all. We've been told to think outside the box, but just how is that done? Is it possible to control this inspiration?
Creativity, by definition, means coming up with new ideas. I strongly believe everyone has this ability. Most of us were taught to think in a very logical, straightforward way. This is not bad, in fact its necessary. But logical, straightforward thinking usually guides us in thinking about things we already know or have previously experienced. To become a creative thinker, we must learn to think in a different way that compliments our natural abilities.
In this creativity training, you will learn what creativity is and how to use tools to help your mind generate ideas and greatly increase the chances of producing new, creative solutions.
